1. What We Do Not Collect

Formatzilla performs all file conversion locally in your browser using WebAssembly and the browser's built-in Canvas API. We do not collect or store:

• Any files you convert or upload to the converter
• The content of your files
• Personal information (name, email, address, phone number)
• Account credentials — no account is required to use Formatzilla

2. Analytics — Plausible

Formatzilla uses Plausible Analytics to understand how the site is used. Plausible is a privacy-first analytics tool with the following properties:

• No cookies are set
• No personal data is collected or stored
• IP addresses are not stored or logged
• You are never tracked across sites or devices
• Data is not sold to third parties
• Plausible is compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR

We only see aggregate, anonymous statistics such as total page views, popular conversion types, and which countries visitors come from. Individual users cannot be identified.

3. Advertising — Google AdSense

Formatzilla displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and web beacons to show personalized ads based on your browsing history and interests.

• You can opt out of personalized ads at Google's Ad Settings
• You can also opt out via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. We do not have access to or control over cookies used by Google AdSense.

4. Cookies

Formatzilla itself does not set any cookies. Google AdSense may set cookies for advertising personalization purposes. Plausible Analytics does not use cookies.

You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies or to notify you when cookies are being sent. If you refuse cookies, some features of third-party services (like personalized ads) may not function properly.

5. Local Storage

Formatzilla does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB to store user data. Converted files are held in browser memory (as Blob URLs) only for the duration of the download and are then released.

6. Data Security

Because your files are processed locally in your browser and never transmitted to a server, there is no risk of your files being intercepted in transit, stored insecurely on a server, or accessed by third parties. This browser-only architecture provides a fundamentally stronger privacy guarantee than server-based conversion tools.

7. Children's Privacy

Formatzilla does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Formatzilla after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
